Description
“Furnintu” evokes the idea of a trousseau,
of a fitting, and of a dowry, symbols of a
predisposition toward the future rooted in the past.
The work plays with an iconography that seems
to almost emerge from embroidery or a domestic
decoration, transforming it into an abstract and
contemporary sign. It is a tribute to the attention to
detail and the sacredness of everyday life, where
acrylic becomes a material to narrate the resistance
of an identity that is passed down, “providing”
new generations with the tools of memory.

In reference to the great peace gathering of the powerful in Gaza. They try to heal the wound of the people by saying: “There is peace! There is peace! When there is no peace! Are they ashamed of all this? They feel no shame, they don’t even know what shame is.
